I love that my major is so specific. It helps me realize how much the little things do, in fact, matter. A guy asked what was the point of dendrology (the study of trees) in a way that would suggest that it had no importance. Who needs to know all the names of trees, anyhow, right? Of course it doesn’t matter that all the wooden products we have generally come from tree “farms”....
